CCHAC News - April 9, 2009               

Our new web site went live today, April 9, 2009 and the latest news is that we had a very successful annual dinner and meeting on March 26.

The CLAY COUNTY HISTORICAL & ARTS COUNCIL enjoyed a potluck supper and special entertainment from the Smoky Mountain Melodies Barbershop Chorus for their annual membership dinner March 26 at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.

The dinner was well attended by sustaining and new members for the election of 2009 officers with Sara Smith continuing as President, Vice President - Hal Ferren, Secretary - Wanda Jones, and Treasurer - Robert Williams. A few days later, newly elected Board members Mike Gora, Judi Greenstone and Patti Stambaugh who were voted in at the annual meeting joined the group for their monthly board meeting on Monday, April 6.

Special appreciation was given to Susan Martin, outgoing Board Member and past President who served 4 years to help build the Council and continue their efforts to enrich Clay County thru history and arts projects.
